Incidentally, I've just noticed the weapon upgrades are now being peddled in pounds sterling. This is weird because not only do the weapons all seem really cheap (especially to Continentals!) but it makes the whole game arbitrarily 'British'.
Perhaps the £ symbol could be replaced by one of whatever cool looking cryptic glyphs are available?

I wholeheartedly endorse Retribution Cluster.
Also yes perhaps the pound signs should go and perhaps there should still be a glyph to make it obvious that the number represents a price.

I personally like the arbitrarily-british thing about it. British folk will like it more. Stupid americans who don't know what a pound is will just interpret it the same way as they would any other arbitrary currency-like symbol. This is hardly a real world, so weapons being cheap isn't too weird :)

It's exactly because it's not the real world that makes using the £ symbol so odd.
It would be less weird if there was anything remotely British in the gameplay mechanics or any other part of the design. Perhaps if the whole thing were Steampunk or themed around crumpets and tea or colonisation or impenetrable irony... otherwise it's a slightly jarring inconsistency.
Is this really a selling point for 'British Folk'?
I always asumed the theme was some kind of video game retro sci-fi...
