Memory / Processor usage in practice session

Loading tank.jnlp, javaw.exe uses 50MB RAM and 0% processor.
Going into a practice session, the javaw.exe it creeps up to 60MB RAM and 10 - 20% processor usage.
Pressing esc and going back into a new practice game, javaw.xed is now at 60% processor usage.
Esc, back into a practice game once more and the CPU on javaw.exe is on 98% and the memory usage is climbing above 70MB.
The framerate drops and it becomes unplayable.

Okay so we were leaking threads whenever we closed a Server instance down by not exiting the Actor. That's stopped the CPU skyrocketing.
Memory still seems to climb every time I start a practice session though, even after all 7 backgrounds have been loaded. So that's still unsolved.
